Playseum

Type Children's Museum & Edutainment Centre
Location Santacruz, Mumbai
Client Playseum

India's first experiential children's museum, built to be explored, not just played in.

Playseum turns learning into play across a series of fully themed edutainment zones — a magical water world, a farm and grocery corner, and a human-biology wing complete with a CT scan role-play booth.

Each zone is built as its own immersive set: hand-painted ocean murals and magnetic fishing tables for water play, a timber-clad farm stall with a life-size cow and grocery sorting bins for food literacy, and a soft-blue medical bay with an anatomy board, doctor's coats, and a miniature CT scanner for role-play.

A bold pink-and-white "Playseum" wordmark and monochrome-striped flooring announce the entrance, while a separate soft-play wing of ball pits, tube slides, and a faux-bark climbing tower gives younger visitors a purely physical counterpart to the museum's learning zones.

Frequently Asked Questions

What design elements define the Playseum interior?

Playseum's interior is built as a series of fully themed sets — hand-painted ocean murals, a timber-clad farm stall, and a soft-blue medical bay — each designed as its own immersive world rather than a generic play floor.

Key highlights include the Magical Water World's magnetic fishing tables and octopus mural, a life-size cow and grocery-sorting farm stall, a CT scan role-play booth, a giant teeth model in the Body Sound Machine zone, and the Tree Topper climbing structure over the soft-play ball pit.

Playseum uses a museum-exhibit design language rather than a single decorative theme — each zone has its own dedicated palette, signage, and set-built props, tied together by consistent wayfinding and a bold entrance identity.

The interior is designed by SprintCo, India's F&B and experiential design-build studio, which built Playseum's themed zones to function as both an educational exhibit and a high-turnover entertainment venue.

Children explore water play and marine life in the Magical Water World, learn where food comes from at the farm and grocery corner, role-play as doctors in the human-biology wing, and climb and slide through a dedicated soft-play zone.
